Thank you for joining us at Weekly Prompts.
The idea for the site was born out of the demise of the Daily Prompts and Photo Challenges from WordPress and the sadness and frustration it created amongst our friends. This led us to take our partnership in a new direction, team up, and create a new site.
As GC recently stated, we’re taking the hybrid approach, so, if you don’t like the photo challenge, why not turn it into a word-prompt, and if you don’t like the word-prompt, then publish your photos instead, or even combine the two, the choice is all yours.
By providing a weekend photo challenge and a midweek word-prompt, we hope in some small way we have addressed the void that WP left behind, and in turn, introduce our friends and create a new community.
Soon after launching our site, in response to a number of queries from new bloggers, we added a new feature, an instruction page βHow Toβ to the menu bar. We continue to update and add instructions to this page including a few useful tips. If you are unsure of anything please ask and we will add to our How To pages.
Check out the HomePage where you will find a snapshot selection of responses to our photo challenges. Will yours be showcased next? ~ suew-gc

“Just as I was plucking up the courage to join the daily prompt fun, it disappeared. Then this morning, this blog. Congratulations to both of you, and every success on your new venture. I look forward to being part of it.”

My problem with rock chips is that I don’t have any pictures. I usually let a small “ping” go by until they build up, then the insurance redoes the glass (no deductible for glass) and the same thing happens until finally, I give in and it’s time to get another window. Also, we have salt and sand on the road in the winter and although it doesn’t give you the classic spider web appearance, it produces millions of tiny scratches so that no matter what you do, the windshield never looks clean. Eventually, you get THAT fixed too. I’m trying to figure out if i can write without a picture!

I’d say anything goes Marilyn, and it’s a word-prompt so you don’t need to have a picture. Go for it π

Intuition is a great subject. I think I could write a whole book about it. Meanwhile, it will be up on the 14th.

Your idea for a book sounds interesting Marilyn! Odd how we sense things correctly but still choose to ignore! Thank you Marilyn

I wanted to use the word comparison in my post as a prompt but I don’t have any pictures like you asked for. Sorry and thank you..

Hi Sue. It’s me again, afraid I might have been caught up in the spam because I did a mash up of prompts this morning. Thank you for the wonderful prompt and good to see you again..

I have no idea! I am on wp.org, and the pingbacks from others (or even my own) for my weekly challenge don’t work… (??) – No clue π¦

I wish I could help with your problem, Tatiana. Have you tried the help line?
Yesterday my pingback from my site Nan’s Farm to Weekly Prompts failed. I deleted the link and began again. My second link was identical to the first and it worked fine! I cannot understand that either.
Feel free to link to Talk to Us. And thank you.

Tatiana, you linked this to the talk to us page instead of the prompt page Not the Norm.
It certainly is an attraction and I’ll bet it brings in a fortune, but I couldn’t imagine getting married in it! What will they think of next!

Your pingback was successful and is showing up on the prompt page. No need to double up here on the comments page. Thank you again for joining us. π

Got it. Thank you! Still learning the ping back thing. And I love all the challenges but different folks have different sets of instructions. I kept getting a message that said my comment could not be posted. I hope I didn’t post it like 10 times or something.
