“I always wonder why birds choose to stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on Earth. Then I ask myself the same question.” – Harun Yahya.
This week, the Weekend Challenge on partner Susan and my site is Birds n Bees.
The phrase “the birds and the bees” is a term traditionally used to explain the mechanics of reproduction to younger children.
It is uncertain when the phrase was first used or how it gained popularity. It does not necessarily mean that parents are explaining how birds and bees reproduce.
In our particular context, the phrase is used to connote the close relationship that birds and bees do share in nature.
Spring and summer are the times of the year when birdhouses, feeders and an avid array of items geared towards taking care of our feathered friends are aggressively marketed.
Are you a secret bird watcher who enjoys feeding our feathered friends? Is there a particular specie of bird whose song, appearance and presence makes your life a wee bit happier?
Why not show us or tell us?
Our challenges are as flexible as you’d like them to be, interpret at will and use them in a way that suits you – Words, Pictures, Poetry, or Rhyme.
