“The wilderness holds answers to questions man has not yet learned to ask.” – Nancy Newhall.
This week the Wednesday Challenge on partner Susan and my site is the word Character.
Sometimes a place is described as having a certain character. People are also described as characters.
The word “ambience’ is often used to describe the atmosphere or “character” of a certain place or the quality it seems to exude.
Fine dining restaurants are expected to offer patrons not only exquisite cuisine but also appropriate music that is reflective of an overall theme of elegance and sophistication.
Nature trails and outdoor parks offer harried and overworked folks a place of calm and tranquility. Many dog owners bring their pets to “leash-free” parks in which both they and their pets can relax and have fun.
Recently a supermarket near my residence initiated a policy which offers its early evening shoppers a hassle-free and relaxed shopping environment of soft music and low-level lighting.
We invite you to give us your opinions on the topic and/or your take on the word Character.
Our challenges are as flexible as you’d like them to be, interpret at will and use them in a way that suits you – Words, Pictures, Poetry or Rhyme.
