Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – Wait

“Of all the hardships a person had to face, none was more punishing than the simple act of waiting.” — Khaled Hosseini.

This week the Wednesday Challenge on partner Susan and my site is the word Wait.

Waiting Rooms

Waiting rooms are a ubiquitous fact of life. They are defined as “rooms” provided for the use of people who are waiting to be seen by a doctor or dentist or who are waiting in a station for a bus or train.

Sometimes the waiting time becomes unbearably long especially if you have a non-life threatening medical emergency that requires you to visit a hospital emergency room for treatment and a sudden avalanche of potential new patients is transported to the ER on stretchers.

Your projected wait time is increased from minutes to hours due to the influx of new emergencies with more urgent needs than yours.

We ask you to share your opinions, images, or experiences regarding the word WAIT

Our challenge is as flexible as you’d like it to be, so please use it in a way that suits you – Words, Pictures, Poetry or Rhyme.
