Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – Change.

“I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better.” — Georg C. Lichtenberg.

This week’s Wednesday Challenge on partner Susan and my site is the word CHANGE.

EDIT – Good News: Pingbacks are working again!

Some folks promote the idea that change is inevitable. While this concept may have a certain amount of credence, the question remains: is change always desirable for the sake of change?

Do folks fear change because it imposes on their accepted comfort zone or do they relish the notion that any amount of change is better than nothing?

Hard-bound printed books were replaced by electronic books which made portability possible. After a while, audio books gained widespread acceptance. But does listening to a recording of a book add to our enjoyment of it or does that activity lessen our desire to remain literate adults.

There are many examples in which change has not only enhanced our lives but also diminished our overall enjoyment of the things we once loved doing.

Is change for the mere sake of change a worthwhile ambition?

We invite you to give us your take on this topic.
