Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – Spring Critters

S P R I N G  I S  I N  T H E  A I R

It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want to — oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heartache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain.

This week’s challenge on partner Susan and my site is SPRING CRITERS.

The inspiration for this week’s challenge came to me quite innocently enough. When I opened the drapes to my balcony door last week I looked out and saw an animated, lively and playful squirrel scurrying across the wooden beam that tops the metal railing on my balcony.

The energetic critter paused momentarily in its frantic stroll, looked at me through the glass patio door and then continued on its way to parts unknown.

I moved into this suite last June and this was the first time I noticed any type of wildlife scampering across the rental property.

Our challenge this week invites you to give us your take on the return of spring in your own neighborhood. The warmer weather will definitely lure more of these denizens to leave their winter hiding spots and venture out into the world in search of adventure and fun.

As always, our challenge is flexible so please interpret it in a way that suits you – Words, Pictures, Poetry or Rhyme.
