” Cake is happiness! If you know the way of the cake, you know the way of happiness! If you have a cake in front of you, you should not look any further for joy!”

This week the Wednesday Challenge from partner Susan and myself is KIDS ‘N TREATS.
We all know that children enjoy cakes, pies and cookies. The look of happiness on their angelic faces as they eagerly devour their sought after treats is evidence of that fact of life. There is always room for dessert in their game plan.
But have you ever considered the possibility that many children as young as two years old might also enjoy helping their mommy in the kitchen prepare these goodies?
When I was a youngster I loved helping my mother bake these delectable treats hoping that at the end of the preparatory stage of the operation I would be allowed to lick the raw baking materials as a reward. Icings and assorted other toppings were my favorite.
This week Susan and I invite you to share with us your own such experiences either as a youngster yourself or a parent and grandparent watching and directing your children in the kitchen as they help you create and bake something yummy and wonderful.
As always, our challenge is flexible – please interpret the challenge in a way that suits you – using Words, Pictures, Poetry or Rhyme.
