“Every man carries with him through life a mirror, as unique and impossible to get rid of as his shadow.”― W.H. Auden, The Dyer’s Hand

This week the Wednesday Challenge from partner Susan and myself is SHADOWS.

There are many definitions for the term shadows. Some have sinister implications while others are as innocent as memories from our past. I chose the definition a photographer uses when he/she attempts to be creative using shadows and sunlight.

The slide display above illustrates the many ways in which a person’s perspective on a subject alters the definition of what that object might just be. You will notice that no matter which way I held the camera the interplay of light and dark helped to make the object a shade more dramatic.

We ask you to offer us your own personal definition of SHADOWS in whatever form that may be. Good luck. Have fun. Be creative!

As always our challenge is flexible,  feel free to do it your way. Words, Pictures, Poetry or Rhyme.
