Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – Sharing

A  C Y B E R   S A N T A   C H R I S T M A S?

This week the Wednesday Challenge on partner Susan and my site is SHARING.

This year I imagine Santa Claus is totally entrusting his elves to handle the challenges of making of toys while he concerns himself totally with the ins and out of electronically communicating with youngsters via Zoom or any of the other popular chat programs  in order to meet, greet and plan for their Christmas wishes this year.

At West Edmonton Mall this year locating the jolly old man is a bit of a hide and go seek affair. The COVID virus has momentarily put Santa on ice and that means children and their parents will have to adjust their preconceived notions of visiting him.

His Santa throne and all the accoutrements that embellish his on-site presence has been modified so that youngsters and their parents are forced to look for a grove of artificial trees and then make an appointment to have a one on one chat with him while he sits safely behind a large plexiglass window. Jeez.

But the spirit of sharing the good tidings and love the season represents is more than just ho ho ho’s and opening gifts on Xmas day. This is a season of sharing and each of us in our own way will share the season according to his/her tradition and beliefs.

For this challenge, we hope you will be SHARING  with us the way you and your family and friends will be sharing the joy and the hopes of the festive COVID Christmas season.

As always the challenge is flexible, so please interpret in any way you wish – Words or Pictures, Poetry or Rhyme, you choose.
