Wednesday Challenge – Wind Blown

Every time a strong wind blows, every sand and dust yearns for being a solid rock and every solid rock longs for flying with the wind! —Mehmet Murat Ildan

WIND BLOWN is this week’s Wednesday Challenge on Susan and my site.

Have you ever experienced an unexpected gust of wind blow through your open car windows as you were driving to a vacation destination and have all the maps suddenly blow out the open windows and onto the highway behind you as you are barreling down the road at 70  miles per hour?

This has never happened to me but friends and relatives who have experienced this stressfully rude awakening confided that they now travel with their windows tightly closed when on vacation.

The worst thing that has happened to me was losing a brand new umbrella to an unexpected gust of wind as I turned the corner and the wind turned the umbrella’s metallic insides out and I was left standing in the rain holding a useless piece of rain gear. Thankfully that day a fine mist fell on the city streets.

These gusts of wind are merciless and many folks were not only losing their umbrellas that day but their hats, hairpieces and tempers. These things do happen to the best of us you know.

Partner Susan and I encourage you to tell us of your own experiences battling these tricky puffs of air. Be graphic. Be sincere. Your Photos/descriptions and whatnot are always welcomed. Respond in any way you choose, words or pictures!
