Wednesday Challenge – Family Photo

“To take photographs is to hold one’s breath when all faculties converge in the face of fleeting reality. It is at that moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy- “Anon.

This week’s challenge on Susan and my site involves a FAMILY PHOTO.

Have you ever rummaged through your home’s attic or even the garage and discovered boxes loaded with memorabilia that pictorially depicts family members you never knew and whose image is preserved forever on that rabbit eared and aged photograph which has managed to survived the ravages of time and the aging process?

In effect this is a type of visual treasure hunt in which the reward to you is the gaining of valuable knowledge of family members your parents or even grand parents knew and to whom you were not acquainted.

Susan and myself invite you to locate that one mysterious photo and write us your thoughts on it. Remember the photo is a flash back to the past and not a recent one of yourself or family ( unless of course you have an early photo of yourself which is welcomed).

No Photographs? Tell us all about one instead.

Please Include our name Weekly Prompts when creating your response.
