Word Prompt Giving Thanks

“Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more.” ― Roy T. Bennett.

This week’s word prompt on partner Susan and my site is GIVING THANKS and is related to the American Thanksgiving holiday which is celebrated tomorrow November 28th.

How many times throughout the year do you truly give thanks for the many blessings you now enjoy?

Is your gratitude related to the yearly celebration of a one day recognition of this fact or are you grateful everyday for the many positive things in your life?

Life is a fickle task master and from time to time throws challenges and obstacles in our way to test our mettle. But through it all we know that the unexpected challenge will not last forever and that there is a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

There are also many reasons to give thanks even through times of difficulty and these often unrecognized blessings are always there to support us through the rough times.

If you would care to share on the Thanksgiving holiday please let Susan and myself know your feelings about this national day of giving thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American readers from Susan and myself.
