This weekend the Weekly Prompts photo challenge from GC and me is Crystal.
Q. Do you know the difference between crystal and ordinary glass?
A. Crystal glass contains between 2–30% minerals either lead or lead-free. One of the features of crystal is that the minerals strengthen the glass, making it possible to produce strong but thin wine glasses. Strange that, because all the crystal I’ve owned has been quite heavy and not at all thin.
