Word Prompt Mistakes

“Assert your right to make a few mistakes. If people can’t accept your imperfections, that’s their fault.” — Dr. David M. Burns

This week’s Word Prompt on my partner Susan and my site is MISTAKES.

No matter how much we hate to admit it we all make mistakes. Reality proves that point for us time and time again.

Pencils have erasers, computers have delete keys and of course in the good old days typists used the ever popular white out paint to conceal their errors.

This tendency to make mistakes is not only part and parcel of our DNA but also the way we learn things. When you make a mistake you learn and grow as a person. I make a lot of mistakes but I also learn what not to do as a result.

In the work place employers focus time and effort to train their employees in the proper procedures to perform their jobs. Many times employees need a refresher course to upgrade their skill set especially if their current performance levels have become a bit rusty over time.

For this challenge Susan and I would like you to share with us your own experience making mistakes. It might be hard to publicly admit this so if you are a bit squeamish then tell us a story about the time a store clerk, cashier, auto mechanic or even your own family physician made a mistake.
