“The key to understanding any people is in its art: its writing, painting, sculpture.” ― Louis L’amour, Education of a Wandering Man

For the month of October I have chosen to highlight the color BRONZE  for Susan and my site.

Many colors can be described as simple and the mere mention of it evokes certain types of personal memories towards it. Red, orange , green and yellow are such warm and welcoming colors to be sure.

Other colors are more dynamic and assertive and mentally arouse our curiosity and shake our very soul to the quick. They take us from our mundane comfort zones and place us in an alternate reality where virtually anything and everything is possible.

The image above graces one on the entranceways to a Denny’s Family Restaurant. One cannot help but admire the quality of the craftsmanship and skill of the artist who created it.

The bronze bull startles the unaware and sleepy customer and entices the curious photographers and visitors overwhelmed by its sheer magnificence and imposing presence.

The figure is so life like that security cameras have been placed around the area so that mesmerized and more brazen patrons will not try to climb atop the bull and ride it bareback. Many have tried in the past. It is that type of creation.

This is a monthly color challenge to you to offer us here the types of bronze sculptures that you find soul inspiring and lifelike. We welcome your photos , poems or personal experiences regarding this color.
