Word Prompt Reading

“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.” ― Charles W. Eliot

This week’s Word Challenge is READING:

Do you enjoy reading books and do you still have a library card and occasionally visit your local library from time to time to rediscover the many services they offer besides books: videos, records, special events and language tapes?

These days it seems that E books ( electronic books) have become the rage. They offer portability, convenience and the book selections they offer are just about unlimited.

I have used a Kobo electronic reader for years and find the options it offers suits my reading needs: the type size can be enlarged; background lighting enhanced or minimized and the reader itself can be safely tucked in a brief case or coat pocket.

Kindle and Kobo are the two major competitors but I have recently started using my tablet to download my book selections . The tablet options outshine the regular reader ones.

For this challenge my partner Susan and I would like to know if you enjoy reading and what type of reading material you enjoy: books, magazines, tabloids or electronic books that actually read the books for you.

As always, this is a flexible challenge, photos, stories or rhymes, the choice is yours.
