“Don’t predict the condition of the entire day by the state of the morning. You don’t judge a book by its cover. A cloudy morning is no guarantee for a rainy day!” ― Israelmore Ayivor.
“Into each life a little rain must fall” is a quote attributed to William Wadsworth Longfellow in his poem “The Rainy Day.”
Rainy days evoke different reactions from many people. Children like romping about in the rain and splash vigorously in the many puddles produced by a heavy downpour.
Adults shun going out in the rain and tend to curse the fact that rain is a part of the ecosystem. Rainy days can ruin a family’s picnic plans, an upcoming golf game or a leisurely walk in the country.
This week’s prompt on Susan and my site asks you to tell us how you feel about rainy days. You can make it an actual rainy day experience or tell us how you perceive the less than perfect summer day.
We look forward to your anecdotes and waterlogged tales of woe but wish you all blue skies and sunny weather for the majority of your summer days.
