Word Prompt Time Off

“I think the worst sort of time travel is how the clock speeds up when I’m on my break.” ― Joyce Rachelle

Your Wednesday Word Prompt is ‘Time Off’

No matter how much you say you enjoy your line of work there is always the possibility that you secretly crave a break from the daily grind and routine and almost certainly plan for some type of physical if not mental break from your job.

You do have two options you know: A staycation and the traditional vacation.

A “staycation”, or holistay, is a period in which an individual or family stays home and participates in leisure activities within driving distance of their home and does not require overnight accommodations.

A vacation as we all are aware is an extended period of leisure and recreation, especially one spent away from home or in traveling (the British term).

The type of break you decide to take for yourself and your family depends upon your disposition and inclinations to exploring the world at large or the more familiar nooks and crannies of the local features near your place of residence.

In this Word Prompt challenge my partner Susan and myself put the question to you directly: Do you prefer leaving your home country and venturing out into the world or have you ever considered sitting comfortably behind the steering wheel of your automobile and exploring the scenes, sights and sounds in your own backyard?

Whichever choice you made in the past or are seriously considering in the future let us know and provide your  own reasons for the choice you have made or will make this upcoming summer season.
