Word Prompt Adult Coloring

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” ― Albert Einstein

When was the last time that you as an adult actually picked up a coloring book, turned to a page that interested you, opened a box of coloring pencils, crayons or paints and immersed yourself totally in both the relaxing fun and creative benefits associated with this activity.

Adult coloring books are making their mark on those adults who want to lessen the effects of daily stress in their lives without resorting to alcohol, pills or other avenues that at times are detrimental to a person’s health.

I received a coloring book and paint set this past Christmas as a gift and refer to it often when I get stressed out.

Browsing through the pages at first may be a wee bit intimidating but in a very short time the pictures themselves actually encourage your inner creative side. The activity is also very therapeutic and relaxing.

This week’s Word Prompt Challenge word is Adult Coloring..

Tell us if you have ever tried or considered using an adult style coloring book to not only reduce personal tension in your life but also help you be a more creative person. It’s okay to color outside the lines. At least I hope it’s okay. – gc
