“I trust that when I am intuitive, it is a cocktail of all the information I have picked up along the way, which has come to me at the right time.” ―

Last Friday I was standing in a full service express checkout line at the supermarket when I noticed the woman in front of me holding several articles in her arms.
I struck up a conversation with her and then mentioned that for many folks the self-serve machines are faster. I then told her I was wary about using them because they seemed a bit complex and potentially frustrating.
With that she suggested that we both walk over to a nearby machine and she would show me how simple they were to use.
I stood there quietly as she placed her first item on the steel plate and then watched as she selected items from a drop down menu which would show an icon of the item she had placed there – a yam.
The woman clicked one menu after another in the hopes of correctly selecting the image of the yam she was searching for.
The machine buzzed quietly and after a few moments a message informed her that an attendee would be there shortly to assist her.
At that point I thanked her for her assistance and returned to the attended express line. I had ten items and she had a few less.
A few minutes later as I was walking by the self-serve area I noticed the woman still waiting for assistance.
My gut reaction ( intuition) had paid off.
For women the concept is labelled “female intuition” while men call it a “gut reaction”.
Have you ever had your own intuitive feelings or gut reaction warn you that something was not right about something?
Tell us about that experience. We’d love to compare notes with you. — gc
