Word Prompt Frugality

“Shoes are a big part of your look. I think that if your outfit isn’t really something special, then fun footwear is a great way to jazz it up and make your ensemble more interesting.”  —   Christian Siriano

The number of shoes waiting for repair in this nondescript  repair shop tells the onlooker that the industry is alive and well. – gc

Have you ever had the urge to have your favorite pair of shoes repaired and not replaced?

In this day and age many folks choose to replace their “worn out” shoes with one that is rigid, uncomfortable and in need of further consumer testing and breaking in.

Many shoes are merely in need of a heel or sole replacement. The main structure of the shoe is still serviceable and of course extremely comfortable and not ready for the garbage heap.

The unassuming shoe repair shop shown above still has a long list of customers willing to repair and not replace their favorite footwear.

Tell us what you do when you notice that your shoes are showing signs of wear , and tear and aging. – gc
