Photo Challenge Food For Thought

“If we shouldn’t eat at night, why is there a light in the fridge?” ~ unknown

This weekend YOUR Photo Challenge here on Weekly Prompts is Food For Thought.

A trifle dessert

The above is a photo of my recent dessert, a fruit trifle. My companion asked if I would like a sweet, he could have asked if I wanted pudding, all three names mean the same thing.

In England, we call our evening meal tea, though not to be confused with a cup of tea. We refer to this mealtime as teatime which is simply another name for dinnertime, suppertime or chowtime. Then, of course, there’s afternoon tea which is something entirely different.

Now, having said all that, it very much depends on the time we eat, if it’s around six o’clock it’s teatime, but if it’s eight o’clock and we’re in a restaurant it becomes dinner! If you are a school child and you stay for school dinners, your dinner is actually your lunch!

Confusing isn’t it?  So, we wondered what you call your mealtimes?

We’d like you to share a picture or two of your food and don’t forget to tell us whether this is breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner or supper. ~ Sue
