“If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm.” ~ Frank Lane
This weekend our photo challenge here on Weekly prompts is ‘The Weather’
The above picture shows the makeshift but successful diversion tactics used when flood water was in danger of seeping under the patio doors of a ground-floor guest bedroom.
This year the UK has experienced very unusual weather. We had an extremely cold winter, with substantial snow and ice, and a spring rainfall that was prolonged and exceptionally heavy. Right now we are enjoying a long spell of hot weather, a heat wave that has lasted some weeks, though not good for the farming community where parched crops and scorched grassland have become something of a disaster.
What about you, where is your part of the world and what is the weather like where you are? Is it your winter or your summer? Share with us some of your own weather photographs. ~ Sue
